At 1100 metres height on Ananda hills The World Peace Pagoda in Pokhara Nepal overlooks the Annapurna Mountain range which reflects off Lake Phewa Tal below. It is thus one of the more serene peace pagodas in the world. On a cloudy day we climbed about 200 steps with a 2 year old only to get disheartened and getting our rewards later .

On the last day of the Nepal tour I felt the inner call – to visit Boudhanath with my camera . Its an experience worth sharing . The selection was tough between the pictures and words.

It was on our visit back from Pokhara that we headed towards Swayumbhunath temple on a bright warm sunny afternoon. Situated on the hilltop at western side of Kathmandu it’s around half an hour journey from Kamalpokhri the central part of Kathmandu.
