Sausage French Toast Roll-Ups

Bread, sausages, eggs and butter come together in this easy lunch box recipe

Ingredients
  

  • 5 slices brown bread or white bread
  • 5 nos chicken breakfast sausages or pork sausages
  • 2 nos eggs
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • salt and pepper

Instructions
 

  • Lightly sauté the chicken sausages and keep them aside.
  • Whisk the eggs with salt and pepper and keep them in a wide bowl.
  • Place the bread slices on a flat surface. Cut out the sides and discard.
  • Now take a rolling pin and roll the bread thinly. It will spread a little bit.
  • Place one chicken sausage at one end of the bread. Roll the bread with the chicken sausage inside.
  • Seal the other end with a little bit of water. Make all the rolls.
  • Now take a frying pan and let it become hot. Add butter and as it sizzles, dip the rolls one by one in the egg, coat the rolls completely in the egg and gently place them in the frying pan.

  • When they are a golden brown colour, take them out on a paper towel.
  • Serve then warm or at room temperature.
